Spring is a great time of year to get out and enjoy our community including our fine businesses and local products and talents. Be sure your checking the Library calendar for the various ways we're highlighting all our area has to offer. Here's a glimpse:
Join us on Sat. May 1st @ 1pm to discover ways to do this all year round. We will start with a speakers from Ambrosia Farms CSA of Bridgewater, Common Thread Community Farm of Hamilton, and the Stoltzfus Family Dairy Farm of Vernon. Then there will be plenty of time to browse tables of information and talk to representatives of the previously mentioned farms plus Sunnybrook Farms (grass-fed meats), Rose Creek Farm (popcorn & eggs), Fairchild Farm (grass-fed meats), Nanny Acres Goat Milk Soaps, the CCE of Oneida Co., and more. This is a great way to start buying better, fresher, local products and to support the community doing so!
You can also join local quilters in another fantastic Quilt Workshop with Colleen Bogan on Tues. May 4th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Whether you're just beginning or have projects you're working on, come get some fresh ideas and practice. If it's anything like last time you'll certainly be inspired.
Also, while you're in the library be sure to get your tickets for the Friends' latest Raffle Basket filled with a Gevalia coffee maker, a tea for one set, and all sorts of goodies to go with it. The drawing for the raffle will be held on Fri. May 7th @ 7pm at the Night on the Town Movie "It's Complicated." So come buy your last few tickets, stay for the movie and free popcorn, then grab your coupon and head to the Red Lion Pub for Buy One Get One Free Drinks. Stop at one of Waterville's find restaurants before the movie and you have a complete night right here in town!
It's impossible to include everything, but mark these dates on your calendar too: Fri. May 21st free "In Theory" Concert @ 7pm featuring Kelly Preston. Sat. June 19th @ 10:30 am the 2nd Annual Plant Swap. Happy Spring!
