Early Literacy Program

The Bookworms Early Literacy Program is a free program designed for 2 1/2 - 4 year old children to introduce them to letters, shapes and colors to help them prepare to read. We will do crafts, read books and interact with other children.

Bookworms will be held on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Starts September 14th, 2009. Sign up soon!

Last year The Bookworms read over 1150 books from September - May.

First Adult Summer Reading Prize Drawing Friday!

Have you read 3 books yet this summer?
If so, be sure to enter the drawing for Adult Summer Reading!

Adults who read 3 books, write a review for 1, and submit their name to the prize drawing
have 4 chances to win a loaded Waterville book bag this summer.
Book bag prizes include local artwork, gift certificates, books and other goodies.

Prize Drawing Dates are:
July 17th, July 31st, August 14th, and August 24th at the Book Sale.

Artsy Smartsy

Every Wednesday in July kids come to the library and try different painting styles. This week they did learned about Pop Art and made some great Pop Art pictures to bring home.
In the coming weeks we'll be doing Pointillism, Cubism & Watercolor.

Beginning August 3rd the Artsy Smartsy Class will have an Art Show with their favorite pieces. So be sure to stop in and support our budding artists.

Classic Movie Series

The Waterville Public Library will be showing classic movies every Tuesday all summer long.

Showings will be at 3pm & 6pm.

Utica Zoo Mobile A Success!

Thank you to everyone who came out to see the Zoo Mobile. About 70 people came out to see a scorpion, opossum, a snake and an alligator. Here are some pictures from last night.
